Full-text searching

Full-text Searching… This chapter describes full-text searching and, according to the book, it’s as easy as one, two, and three. Let me tell you, after reading this chapter, it was pretty straightforward.  Granted, there is plenty of “prep work” but when it is all in place, it will help a lot when it comes to using search. Me being more of an administrator than a developer, I liked the portion where the author provides basic queries to find what exists in the form of columns, indexes and catalogs. There are also advanced queries that are provided that will return even more info about catalogs.

This chapter is another long read but you won’t regret it. Absolutely great info on full-text searching.

Thanks for reading and have a great rest of the week.
