FAQ  – SQL Server XML…Wow. From what XML stands for, to how to load XML data from a filesystem. In this chapter the author writes about frequently asked questions about XML. There is a lot to take in with this chapter and there is a lot of great detail explaining each of the frequently asked questions. The first listing or faq is about XML nodes or “supported markup annotations into logical structures”. He explains each of the nodes and what should be contained in them. Element nodes, attribute nodes, text nodes, comment nodes, etc…I won’t go into each of them, you’ll have to read the book. As I mentioned in my last post, I am kind of new to the XML in SQL thing and this chapter has really peaked my interest in it. The last chapter did as well and I actually was horsin’ around with SQL XML data on my laptop. I am a hands-on type of person and actually learn better by doing vs. reading. I think that’s why I love all of these examples in this book.
